Economic and market dates for July include the Employment Situation Report on July 2, followed by crucial inflation insights from the CPI on July 14 and PPI on July 15. Later in the month, the Federal Reserve will convene for the FOMC Meeting on July 28–29, with the interest rate policy decision announced on the afternoon of July 29.

Economic and market dates for June include the Employment Situation Report on June 5, the FOMC Federal Reserve Meeting on June 16–17 with the interest rate policy decision announced on the afternoon of June 17, the final implementation of the Russell Index Reconstitution on June 26, and the End of Q2/Mid-Year Check-in on June 30.
Deadlines and due dates for the month are the Q2 Estimated Tax Payments on June 15, the Expat Tax Return deadline on June 15, and the final cutoff for the Federal FAFSA application on June 30.
Retirement Account Tax Information Statements
Late in May, Cetera mailed out your 2025 Retirement Account Tax and Information Statements. These do NOT get filed with your state or federal tax returns. Cetera is sharing with you the information we have shared with the IRS regarding Contributions, Conversions, Recharacterizations and the value of your account. These forms are calculated annually, after the Contribution period for the prior year (April 15, 2026 for tax year 2025).
Review to ensure the contributions and other changes we have documents are accurate. If you have any questions, give our office a call.

Market Outlook and Community Update
As we head into May, there is plenty to keep an eye on both in the markets and within our local community. We kick things off with a bit of fun on May 4th for Star Wars Day, but the week quickly shifts focus to the corporate world as a wave of Q1 results continues to be released. This is also a significant month for our local partners and neighbors as we celebrate Small Business Month, highlighting the entrepreneurs who keep our economy vibrant. On the economic front, we will receive key updates with the release of the Employment Report on May 8th, followed by inflation insights from the CPI and PPI data on May 12th and 13th. We will also be watching the PCE Price Index on May 28th, as it remains a primary gauge for the Federal Reserve's future interest rate decisions. While there is no formal FOMC meeting scheduled for May, these data points will help set the stage for the committee's next scheduled meeting in June.

April 2026
April 15th is Almost Here
We have until April 15th to make contributions to your Roth or Traditional IRAs for 2025.
Your 2026 Contributions can still be made after April 15th, 2026. Historically, 4 out of 5 years, the markets are up. Past results do not guarantee future returns, and our recommendation is to make contributions as early as possible in the cycle.

1099s are delivered
Almost all 1099s have been sent out and are available on Adviceworks for Pershing accounts. There are a few stragglers due to companies who were slow to report to Pershing, but all 1009s should be out by March 15th.

Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions limits increase for 2026!
This year's deadline to make 2025 IRA and Roth IRA Contributions is April 15, 2026. You are allowed to contribute either the amount of “Earned Income” you had in 2025 or $7000 ($8000 age 50 or older), whichever is lower.
For 2026 those amounts are increased to $7500 ($8500 age 50 or older) and can be made until April next year.
This window where we can contribute for both 2025 and 2026 is a great time for you to help your working age children and grandchildren get started understanding investments and planning for their future while creating a legacy that will last beyond your lifetime.

1099 Schedule
It is once again the time of year to begin preparing for tax filings. For those with accounts held at Pershing, a BNY Mellon company, they provide tax reporting on our behalf. The mailing date of your Form 1099 depends on the types of holdings in your account.
For accounts held directly with Mutual Fund or Annuity Companies, timelines may differ. For Pershing accounts, the following schedule will apply, although dates are subject to change:
